A fire broke out at the Epcot theme park at the Walt Disney Resort, in Bay Lake, Florida on Saturday afternoon. Videos of the fire shared by visitors at the park surfaced on social media. As per social media accounts of visitors reporting on the fire, it started behind the France pavilion at the EPCOT theme park. The videos showed massive white-colored smoke rising from the area, visible from nearby areas. It was not immediately clear if anyone was injured in the fire.
One social media user said that the fire broke out during the 6:45 p.m. Herman’s Hermits Garden Rocks set. The user claimed that the fire was extinguished by the end of the concert and the France pavilion was evacuated. However, an official word from Disney and the Orlando Police Department is awaited.
