The biggest spectacle in college basketball is getting tantalizingly close.
A 2024-25 men’s college basketball season that started all the way back in early November will reach its high-profile, hotly anticipated conclusion next weekend with the Final Four, where the four teams that have survived the rigors and pressure of the 2025 men’s NCAA Tournament will square off to see which squad is crowned the national champion.
The tournament has been relatively devoid of the drama, suspense and Cinderella stories that have come to define it over the course of its history. Three of the four Elite Eight matchups pitted No. 1 and No. 2 seeds against each other, with the fourth of those games featuring a No. 1 seed and a No. 3 seed.

That lack of surprising runs, however, could make for engaging contests in the biggest games of the season, with many of the country’s top teams still in contention to make the Final Four.
