FDA raises Costco egg recall classification to highest risk level. What to know

The Food and Drug Administration has classified a recall of eggs sold at Costco as Level I, the highest level available.

While the eggs were not sold in any Florida Costco, with residents heading outside the state for the holidays, it pays to double check what you’re eating or using. The eggs were sold in several states across the Southeast.

The recall of the eggs was due to the potential contamination of salmonella.
