F1 Chinese Grand Prix live updates: Follow latest from today’s sprint race and qualifying

Formula One is in Shanghai for the second round of the 2025 season.

Lewis Hamilton will start today’s sprint race from pole, with the Red Bull of Max Verstappen alongside his Ferrari.

McLaren missed out on making the front row but will have the pace to compete from behind. Lando Norris had been fastest by almost half a second during Friday’s opening free practice session.

Today’s sprint is followed by qualifying for tomorrow’s Chinese Grand Prix.
