Manchester United have finally earned their first corner of the game in the 65th minute against Brentford, but nothing comes of it. Over at Brighton, the hosts come close to scoring a second goal but Matt O’Riley’s cross is blocked by Sandro Tonali. And the London derby between West Ham and Tottenham appears to be meandering a bit, still at 1-1.

We are back underway at all three venues after the mid-game interval. Man United seek an equaliser to bounce back against Brentford, and so do Newcastle against Brighton. Meanwhile, the West Ham vs Tottenham game awaits a goal to break the 1-1 deadlock.

We had a torrent of goals in a five-minute spell in the first half across the three games. Kevin Schade scored to put Brentford ahead against Manchester United and the scoreline stays at 2-1, going into the mid-game interval. Meanwhile, Yankuba Minteh’s goal separates Brighton (1-0 up) and Newcastle, and Jarrod Bowen’s 28th-minute strike draws West Ham level 1-1 against Tottenham.

Brentford equalise at the Gtech Community Stadium courtesy an own goal from Luke Shaw. Michael Kayode sends a throw-in into the United penalty box and the ball is headed away, but the Italian runs in and helps engineer a shot from Damsgaard. Shaw, in his attempt to head the ball clear, inadvertently flicks it into his own net.

Over at London Stadium, Wilson Odobert latches on to Mathys Tel’s assist and makes use of all the space he has inside the West Ham box to score. Tottenham take the lead in the 15th minute.

United are in the lead against Brentford. Alejandro Garnacho sets it up beautifully for Mason Mount, and the English midfielder finishes it with ease in the 14th minute.
