A deceased gray whale was found washed ashore in Huntington Beach on Friday.
Footage captured by stringer service Key News Network showed a gray whale washed up on the shore of Huntington City Beach on Friday evening.
The Pacific Marine Mammal Center is investigating the cause of death. Once the cause is determined, the carcass will likely be towed back to sea.

As of Saturday morning, the Huntington Beach Fire Department was monitoring the carcass.
No additional details were immediately made available.
It’s the second time a whale has washed up in Southern California over the past week. Last weekend, a minke whale that was trapped at the Long Beach Catalina Landing was found deceased.
