‘Days of Our Lives’, ‘Jane the Virgin’ actor dead at 39

(WKRC) – Francisco San Martin, an actor known for his work on soap operas and a CW television show, has died by suicide at the age of 39, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The actor was found dead at his home on Jan. 16.

San Martin, born in Mallorca, Spain, gained recognition for the role of Dario Hernandez in the NBC/Peacock soap opera “Days of Our Lives.” He portrayed the character from 2010 to 2011. San Martin also appeared in “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2017 as Mateo, an estate manager.

He had roles in the 2013 film “Behind the Candelabra” and the romantic comedy-drama series “Jane the Virgin,” where he played Fabian Regalo del Cielo in seasons three and four.

San Martin’s career also included roles in short films such as “A Love Story,” “Hotter Up Close,” and “Dot,” the latter being his final credit in 2022.
