Dan Bernstein, the longtime voice of Chicago sports, no longer works for 670 The Score.
What they’re saying: “We wish him nothing but the best and thank him for his time and service,” vice president Mitch Rosen said to listeners on Friday afternoon as he announced the departure.
Context: Bernstein was serving a week-long suspension after a social media fight over the size of a fish got ugly, with Bernstein apparently threatening to dox another X user’s children.
- The exchange also caused the charity Camp One Step to remove him from its board of directors.
Zoom out: Bernstein started at the sports station in 1995 and has been part of some of the most successful shows in Chicago sports radio history, including the “Boers and Bernstein” show which ended when co-host Terry Boers retired in 2017.

Yes, but: The host had high-profile controversies over the years, including backlash after his remarks about a female sports reporter and recently sparring with Barstool Sports.
Bernstein has not responded to Axios’ request for comment.
What’s next: The Score did not comment on who will replace Bernstein in his current midday show alongside Marshall Harris.
