CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — The postseason run continues for the Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball team.

They punched their ticket to the 2025 National Invitation Tournament (NIT) Championship after an 80-73 victory over Loyola Chicago in the semifinals on Tuesday night.

The NIT, operated by the NCAA, is a prestigious postseason tournament for second-tier Division I men’s college basketball teams.

This marks the longest run in an NCAA postseason event in the Mocs’ program history.

UC Irvine beat North Texas to get to the title game on Tuesday.

That means the Mocs will play UC Irvine in the finals on Thursday night at 9 inside historic Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
