Arkansas vs. St. John’s live score, updates, highlights from 2025 March Madness Round 2 game

Two all-time great coaches will face off on Saturday, but only one will advance to the Sweet 16.

St. John’s enters this game coming off a rout of No. 15 Omaha in the first round on Thursday night, where the Red Storm scored 50 points in the second half. Led by guard R.J. Luis and center Zubiy Ejiofor, St. John’s is trying to make it to the Final Four for the first time since 1985.

Arkansas is feeling confident after a gritty first-round win over No. 7 Kansas in the first-round. Razorbacks forward Jonas Aidoo had a team-high 22 points, and the team forced some big turnovers in the second half to seal the victory. Arkansas hasn’t made a Final Four since 1995.

Pitino and Calipari are two of the greatest college basketball coaches of all time with a combined 13 Final Four appearances and three national championships, and they are the only two coaches to lead three different schools to the Final Four. The last time they faced off in the NCAA Tournament was 2014, when Calipari’s Kentucky defeated Pitino’s Louisville 74-69 in the Sweet 16. Now at different schools, both feel like they have a shot at another national title.
