Angel Reese’s Brother Julian Gets Shout Out From Sister During Big Moments vs. Michigan

The Maryland Terrapins battled the Michigan Wolverines in an instant classic game at the Big Ten Tournament in Indianapolis on Saturday with a trip to the finals on the line.

Coach Kevin Willard’s Terrapins faced off with Dusty May’s Wolverines in a see-saw battle for most of the game, falling behind by double digits in the second half before staging a comeback and leading late.

The comeback was spearheaded by several Terrapins players including Angel Reese‘s brother Julian, who had a clutch late layup, and freshman sensation Derik Queen, who showed off his versatile inside-outside game against a tough Michigan frontcourt duo.

Reese’s famous sister, Chicago sky superstar Angel Reese of the WNBA, shared her thoughts on Queen’s performance while rooting on her brother as the action unfolded.

“Derik is literally baby Jokic omg,” Reese said about the Terrapins center Queen, who dueled with Michigan’s Vladislav Goldin and Danny Wolf all game.

Queen scored 31 points but had just three rebounds and no assists in a losing effort as the Terps fell 81-80 on a near-buzzer beater by Wolverines guard and former Auburn transfer Tre Donaldson, who hit a coast-to-coast layup with less than a second on the clock.

Angel Reese rooted for her brother’s team throughout the game with messages of support as the second-seeded Terrapins narrowly lost a thrilling game.

“Let’s go JUJU!” she wrote. “Let’s go TERPS!”

“Them Baltimore boys WOKE!” she later added. “Come onnnnnnn!”
