A man is in critical condition after falling 21 feet from the stands at PNC Park during Wednesday’s Pittsburgh Pirates game, per the team.
Zoom in: The man fell from the Clemente Wall in right field during the seventh inning of the Pirates-Cubs game.
- He was treated for about five minutes by trainers from both teams and PNC Park staff before being carted off the field and transported to Allegheny General Hospital, according to a statement that the Pirates posted online.
Situation report: “Pittsburgh EMS field medics treated him on scene until he could be transported to the hospital in critical condition,” Pittsburgh Public Safety said on X.
- Police are investigating the incident, according to the post.
What they’re saying: “Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family,” the team said.
- The Pirates said no further information was available as of Wednesday night.
