Giants 2025 NFL Draft tracker: Round-by-round picks and analysis

It’s time to draft, and for the Giants, that means another chance to finally land the franchise QB they’ve sought since Eli Manning’s departure.

With eight picks heading the 2025 NFL Draft in Green Bay — including the No. 3 pick — quarterback will undoubtedly be a focal point until they pick one.

The franchise spent plenty of time looking into Colorado passer Shedeur Sanders this offseason, but the possibility of coming home with two-way star Travis Hunter or a physical specimen in linebacker Abdul Carter may be too enticing to pass up.

They could trade their way back into the first round if they’re so enamored with Sanders, or possibly even to snag Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart.

Here is the full list of the Giants’ draft picks heading into the weekend’s festivities, rife with hope — and perhaps a franchise-changing player, too:

Pick No. 3: Abdul Carter, EDGE, Penn State

The search for their future franchise quarterback will have to wait, as Thursday night the Giants did the expected with the prudent selection of edge rusher Abdul Carter. At 6-foot-3 and 250 pounds, Carter in 2024 had 12 sacks and an FBS-leading 23.5 sacks and there are teams in the NFL that ranked him as the No. 1 overall prospect in the draft. — Paul Schwartz
