NFL Draft crowd draws 100,000 outside Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Green Bay might be the smallest market in the NFL, but as Commissioner Roger Goodell said at the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, the city is “mighty.”

The city is showing that as the host of the draft.

A crowd of over 100,000 fans assembled outside Lambeau Field, the Green Bay Packers‘ iconic stadium, ahead of the first round of the draft April 24.

They were there to witness a viral introduction of Goodell riding in on a bicycle, an homage to the Packers‘ bicycle tradition, and former Green Bay linebacker Clay Matthews saying he got a message from President Donald Trump that read the “Bears still suck.”

The NFL expected 250,000 fans throughout the three-day event. The draft events are taking place in and around Lambeau Field.

Detroit Lions President Rod Walker threw shade at Green Bay earlier this week, saying the city had no chance of coming close to its 750,000 attendance record last year.

That record is probably safe with Detroit.

But Green Bay, with its population of 100,000, sure came to play.
