Steve Austin‘s WrestleMania return was a “smashing” success.

Austin appeared ahead of the main event at WrestleMania 41 to announce the event’s official attendance. Austin rode an ATV down to the ring, but inadvertently ended up crashing into the barricade. ‘The Rattlesnake’ was making his second lap around the ringside area and appeared to be going too fast. He crashed into the barricade as a result, and appeared to have been knocked back by the impact.

Austin got off of the vehicle and appeared to check on the fan who was sitting where he made contact with the barrier. He got in the ring and cut a promo about how many people were there, announcing 63,226 for night two, and 124,693 over both nights.

Austin joked around a bit and started counting each fan, then ended the charade and thanked everyone for coming out. Austin then chugged a few beers on the ringposts before leaving and speaking with the same fan again.

Steve Austin lives in Nevada, but he was also in town to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame for his WrestleMania 13 match with Bret Hart. The bout was the first-ever “Immortal Moment” match induction. Austin is a two-time Hall of Famer, as he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.

The immortal moment is also a historical achievement for Hart, the first-ever three-time WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Hart got a solo induction in 2006. He also went in with Jim Neidhart as The Hart Foundation in 2019. Bret Hart has inducted several people into the WWE Hall of Fame, including Pat Patterson, Buddy Rogers, and his father, Stu Hart.
