‘American Idol’ to feature Christian musicians in Easter special: How to watch

Easter Sunday is quickly approaching and Oklahoma native Carrie Underwood is teaming up with her “American Idol” team to present a special for the holiday.

On April 20, “American Idol” will present a three-hour “Songs of Faith” special, where all 20 contestants perform worship and gospel songs.

The episode will also feature guest appearances from Christian artists and performances by CeCe Winans, Brandon Lake, “American Idol” alum Roman Collins, artist in residence Jelly Roll, and gospel quartet The Brown Four.

How to watch American Idol’s Easter Special

On Easter Sunday, April 20, “American Idol” will air a three-hour special that features performances from several artists, including the 20 remaining contestants.

While the episode will be “American Idol’s” first Easter-themed special, it will also continue the competition. After the show has ended, viewers will still be able to vote for which contestants will advance to the next round.

The show airs at 7 p.m. Central on ABC.
