It has been nearly three years since Justin Thomas won a PGA Tour event.
The two-time major winner has been knocking on the door this season, finishing runner-up at the American Express and Valspar Championship. Thomas will have another opportunity to end his drought on Sunday at the RBC Heritage.
Thomas opened the Signature Event with a course-record-tying 61 on Thursday. He entered the weekend with the lead for the first time since the 2022 Farmers Insurance Open, but watched as Si Woo Kim passed him during Saturday’s third round to take a one-shot lead into the final day.
Thomas and Andrew Novak will enter Sunday’s final round one shot behind Kim. Maverick McNealy is just two shots off the pace while Brian Harman and Tommy Fleetwood are three back.
The RBC Heritage is a Signature Event that comes with a $20 million purse. The winner will take home a $3.6 million check.
