COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — Easter, an international Christian holiday observing the resurrection of Jesus Christ, falls on April 20 this year. Its date moves annually, with the day falling on the first Sunday after the first full moon that occurs on or after the start of spring.
Traditional Easter plans include events like sunrise church services, egg hunts and formal brunches, with many families spending time together.

FedEx and FedEx Freight will be closed and packages will not be delivered on Easter. FedEx Offices will have modified hours. FedEx’s Custom Critical, and Logistics arms will remain open.
UPS‘s Domestic Ground, Air and International services will be closed and packages will not be delivered on Easter. Stores will have limited locations open. UPS Express Critical will be available.
Amazon’s delivery drivers will deliver packages, but items shipped using UPS or FedEx could be delayed.
No, since Easter falls on Sunday, it does not impact Columbus’s trash collection schedule. The color-coded collection schedule will not rotate one day forward until Memorial Day on Monday, May 26, 2025. Rumpke will also continue to collect recycling and yard waste on schedule.
