Joan Laporta was full of praise for Hansi Flick after seeing Barcelona book their spot in the semi-finals of the Champions League.
Barca progressed 5-3 on aggregate to make it to the semi-finals of the Champions League, making Laporta a very happy man.
“We’re on track to fight for the goals we’ve set for ourselves this season, but we haven’t achieved them yet. We can say anything is possible,” he told reporters.
“We’re working very well and are satisfied with the dedication and talent of the players and the masterful way Flick manages the team. It’s a pleasure to watch Barça play.
“The team is strong. We’ve worked very hard and are controlled, and we’re also satisfied with that. This year we’ve improved our physical aspect. That’s not the only factor; it’s a combination of factors that make everything Barça does decisive. We’re playing very well and following Barça’s patterns.”
Barcelona’s win is great news on the pitch and also offers a financial boost. It’s estimated the club will rake in €15 million from making it to the last four.
