Wings GM Curt Miller just did a quick on-stage Q&A here in front of fans in Arlington. He called the drafting of Paige Bueckers “a momentum-building moment” and called her “one of the most efficient players the collegiate game has ever seen.”
Bueckers finished her last season at UConn averaging 19.9 points and 4.6 assists per game. She shot 53.4 percent from the field, 41.9 percent from 3 and 88.9 percent from the foul line.
“She makes everybody better,” Miller said.
The GM also made it a point to highlight Madison Scott, whom the Wings took at No. 14, calling her “one of the best defenders out there.”
