Ohio State football team visits White House national for championship ceremony

The Ohio State football team is visiting the White House Monday to be honored for its 34-23 national championship win Jan. 20 over Notre Dame.

“It’s an honor to be invited,” Buckeyes coach Ryan Day said. “We were formally invited and it’s customary. I remember growing up and watching the national championship teams go to the White House. I always looked at that, like, ‘Man, what an honor that would be.’ So, it’s part of the celebration of our team.”
