When Rory McIlroy sticks a 207-yard 7-iron to within 10 feet of the hole to potentially win the Masters, it’s going to elicit a reaction.
Even from his peers.
Fellow Masters competitor Byeong Hun An was one of them, posting his reaction to social media immediately after one of the most amazing shots in recent Masters history.
But beware, like An, your kids shouldn’t be anywhere near this when you read it.

It’s an honest take, and one that fans around the world can easily relate to.
An finished his Masters in 21st place, at 2-under, his second straight Top 25 at Augusta. But even he was amazed by what he saw Rory pull off when the pressure was at its peak.

Of course, McIlroy wasn’t done there. He followed that ridiculous shot with an equally incredible approach on 17 to give him the lead over Justin Rose.
But instead of playing for the win at Augusta, he’s likely two shots out of contention without the kind of clutch shots he’s been lacking in recent trips to the Masters, in addition to other recent majors where he’s come up tragically short in an attempt to win his fifth Grand Slam.
But in order to win the Masters, you have to hit two of the best golf shots you’ve ever attempted.
Every golfer knows it.
An knows it.
And Rory knows it, too. But just as it appeared history was about to be made,
McIlroy missed a four-foot par putt on 18 that would have won the tournament. He now heads to a playoff with Rose back at the 18th tee.
