Bam Adebayo & Tyler Herro status update: 4/13/25 vs. the Wizards

All 30 NBA teams in action across the final day of the regular season on Sunday. The Miami Heat take on the Washington Wizards for their final game but will get a head start on getting some rest ahead of their Play-In Tournament matchup.

Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro have each been ruled out for the final regular season matchup, headlining a busy injury report.

In addition, Andrew Wiggins, Alec Burks, Nikola Jovic, Pelle Larsson, Kevin Love, Isaiah Stevens, and Dru Smith have all been ruled out due to various injuries and issues.

Miami holds a 37-44 record on the season and will enter the Play-In Tournament as the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference. They will need to win two games to earn a playoff opportunity, first taking on the Bulls in Chicago. If the Heat win this matchup, they will then play the loser of the Magic vs. Hawks play-in game with the winner of this one taking on the Cleveland Cavaliers in the opening round.

It has not been the season the Heat envisioned with the Jimmy Butler trade saga hanging over the franchise’s headed for a large chunk of the campaign. They will now take their chances in the Play-In Tournament with their opening matchup scheduled for Wednesday. The Bulls are considered narrow -115 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, while the Heat hold -105 odds on the Moneyline. The game total is set at 224.

This also puts a bow on the 2024-25 regular season for both Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro. After serving as co-stars with Butler over the past few seasons, each player saw more responsibility put on their plate this year.

Tyler Herro earned his first All-Star appearance, posting career-highs of 23.9 points, 5.5 assists, and 5.2 rebounds per game. Bam Adebayo had more ups and downs and failed to make his fourth All-Star appearance this season. He finished the year averaging 18.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per game.
