South Carolina guard MiLaysia Fulwiley will enter the NCAA Transfer Portal, according to a report from Lulu Kesin of the Greenville News. The star guard, who was named the 2025 SEC Sixth Woman of the Year, has two years of eligibility remaining as she reportedly looks to leave her hometown school.
As of 2:15 p.m. on Friday, April 11, Fulwiley has not officially entered the portal.
Fulwiley, who prepped at Keenan High School in Columbia, finished the 2025 season averaging 11.7 points and 2.8 rebounds per game while chipping in 2.0 assists along with 1.9 turnovers. In 39 games played this season, helping the Gamecocks to the national championship game, she shot 42.6 percent from the field and 25.8 percent from behind the three-point line.
The 5-foot-10 guard made an immediate impact on the program. She was a McDonald’s All-American coming out of high school when she averaged 25.6 points, 9.1 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 5.7 steals as a senior.
When she got to South Carolina, she took on a starring role off the bench earning SEC All-Freshman Team honors and was also the SEC Tournament MVP. She led the team in scoring 11 times as a freshman, which was second-most on the team, and had 23 double-digit point performances.
As a sophomore, she led the Gamecocks in scoring eight times, including once in the NCAA Tournament, a 23-point night against Maryland in the Sweet 16 round. She led the team in assists in five games in her final year with the Gamecocks.
