BEREA, Ohio (WKBN) – ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Cleveland Browns has reached an agreement with veteran quarterback Joe Flacco on a free agent contract.
According to the report, it is a one-year deal worth $4 million. The contract is worth up to $13 million in incentives.
Flacco spent the 2024 season with the Indianapolis Colts. He appeared in eight games, finishing the season with 1,761 yards, 12 touchdowns and 7 interceptions.
He returns to Cleveland for his 18th season in the NFL. He appeared in five games with the Browns during the 2023 season, helping lead the team to the playoffs. He piled 1,616 yards and 13 touchdowns.
For his efforts, he was named 2023 NFL Comeback Player of the Year.
The 40-year-old spent the bulk of his career with the Baltimore Ravens from 2008-2018. He helped lead the Ravens to a Super Bowl win over the 49ers in 2013, and was named Most Valuable Player in the victory.
He also spent time with the Denver Broncos in 2019 and the New York Jets in 2020-22.
According to the ESPN report, Flacco also spoke with the Steelers and Vikings, but opted to return to Cleveland.
