What is the CONCACAF Champions Cup?

The Champions Cup is a continental soccer competition for men’s club teams from North America, Central America and the Caribbean. It was formerly known as the CONCACAF Champions League as recently as 2023 before a renaming.

Winning the cup qualifies teams for the FIFA Club World Cup and Intercontinental Cup, but does not automatically qualify teams for the following season’s tournament. The tournament forgoes a group stage in favor of a simple knockout bracket format, with teams qualifying both through domestic leagues and other cup wins, like the MLS Cup and Caribbean Cup.

Liga MX is the most dominant league in the competition, with 39 titles across teams, with Club America as the most winning team with seven titles total.
