Tennessee Vols basketball opens the NCAA Tournament on Thursday with a first-round game against 15-seed Wofford in Lexington, Kentucky.
The Vols (27-7) drew the 2-seed in the Midwest Region and will play this weekend at Rupp Arena.
Wofford (19-15) won the SoCon Tournament on March 10 to earn an NCAA Tournament automatic bid. The Terriers have played just one game against power conference competition this season, a 86-35 loss at Duke on Nov. 16.
Thursday’s winner will face the UCLA-Utah State winner in a second-round game on Saturday in Lexington.
