OAKLAND COUNTY, Mich. – Local 4 has live coverage as multiple agencies respond to reports of an active shooter at a hospital in Oakland County.

Troy police confirmed on March 20, just after 8 a.m., that a shooting happened at Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital on Dequindre Road.

A suspect is not in custody, but police said the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident.

Troy police are expected to hold a press conference to release more information at 8:45 a.m.

Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital is on lockdown Thursday morning. Sources told Local 4 that staff received the following message:

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY — There is an ACTIVE SHOOTER Troy Hospital in the Parking Structure building. Police are enroute. Please take immediate personal safety measure and follow the run, hide, fight guidelines. For those not currently at the facility, stay away. Do not return to the facility until the all clear has been signaled.
