Macy’s is closing a metro Phoenix store. Here’s where and when

Macy’s announced Thursday that an Arizona location was on the list of 66 stores to be closed as part of a plan to revitalize sales.

Macy’s originally announced the number of closures in December without specifying which stores would be affected. Macy’s plans to close 150 stores by 2026, around 30% of its total.

“Closing any store is never easy,” said Tony Spring, Macy’s CEO in the release. “(We) are closing underproductive Macy’s stores to allow us to focus our resources and prioritize investments in our go–forward stores.”

Here’s what Arizona shoppers need to know about the store closing in metro Phoenix.
