Duke survives against Georgia Tech in the ACC tournament, but that is not going to be the thing we are talking about in this victory.
Yes, Duke was expected to win and in fact spent most of the first half trailing in this game, but the first half had consequence.
It could ripple all the way through the NCAA tournament.
The madness has already started.
In the first half, Malik Brown went to the locker room with a shoulder injury and then the worst of all outcomes for college basketball fans everywhere.
Cooper flag comes down on an already taped left ankle, immediately hits the ground, needs to be assisted off the court, and does not come back in the game.
As of right now, we don’t know what this means, and I’m sure everybody’s excited to see Cooper flag not only for the rest of the ACC tournament, but obviously in the NCAA tournament as well.
It will be interesting to see not only if he can go, but how he can go because as we all know, ankle injuries can become something that isn’t just a.
One time thing.
The question isn’t just can Cooper Flag get on the court.
The question is, can Cooper Flag get on the court and be all of himself?
If Duke wants to win the national championship, they’re going to need that.
And for all of us that have loved watching every second of Cooper play this season, that’s what we need to be rooting for if we want to see the best of the best during March Madness.
It took all of one day in conference tourney action for everybody to start losing their minds, and that is what’s beautiful about March.
