NFL free agency period officially opened Monday with a flurry of signings across the league. It continued a stretch of days in which one big name after another has either found a new home or signed a record-breaking contract.

The Green Bay Packers got in on the action. No, they haven’t signed a wide receiver or an edge rusher. But they made two free agent signings at key positions with the acquisitions ofleft guard Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs. They lost veteran defensive tackle T.J. Slaton to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Who is coming and going today? It’s the second full day where agents can negotiate new deals with teams during what is known as the legal tampering period.
