HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) — A Tornado Warning has been issued for parts of North Alabama.
A line of storms will be capable of producing damaging winds, frequent lightning, small hail, and even a tornado. Due to the low-end tornado threat, a Tornado Watch has been issued for our entire area until 4 a.m. Sunday.
Downed trees and power outages will be possible with the strongest winds. Where the heaviest rain falls, isolated flooding will be possible. Storms will push east through our area through 2 to 3 a.m. Stay weather-aware!
With the storm threat happening during the overnight hours, you must have multiple ways to receive weather alerts that will wake you up overnight. Downloading the Live Alert 19 App will allow you to set your location and automatically alert you when a watch or warning is issued.
