In Today’s News, Elon Musk Has Apparently Had His 13th Child

Yep, Elon Musk has reportedly welcomed another kid. I know what you’re thinking (because, let’s be honest, the baby stories are coming in pretty consistently at this point), and no — this isn’t a post you’ve read before. This one’s entirely new.

Let’s get you up to speed: Elon shares six kids with his ex-wife Justine Wilson: twins Vivian and Griffin, 20, and triplets Kai, Damian, and Saxon, 19. He and Justine also had a son, Nevada, who sadly died of SIDS in 2002, just two and a half months after he was born.

From there, Elon had three children with singer Grimes: X Æ A-Xii, 4, Exa Dark Sideræl, 3, and Techno Mechanicus, 2. He also had twins, Strider and Azure, with tech exec Shivon Zilis in November 2021 — while he and Grimes were expecting Exa via a surrogate.

Then, finally, it was announced in June 2024 that he and Shivon had reportedly had another child. Their name and birthdate are currently unknown.

So that brings us to baby No. 13, whose birth was announced yesterday by their mom, author Ashley St. Clair. Ashley shared the news on X, formerly Twitter, in an apparent attempt to get ahead of upcoming tabloid reports. She wrote, “Five months ago, I welcomed a new baby into the world. Elon Musk is the father.”

Ashley said she kept the news a secret out of privacy and safety concerns. “But in recent days it has become clear that tabloid media intends to do so, regardless of the harm it will cause,” she stated. “I intend to allow our child to grow in a normal and safe environment. For that reason, I ask that the media honor our child’s privacy, and refrain from invasive reporting.”

Elon didn’t publicly respond to the news, and reps for him didn’t immediately return BuzzFeed’s request for comment, but he’s been a proponent of people having a lot of kids, saying it’ll “help humanity grow.”

“I think people worry too much about having kids, and it’s sometimes difficult to make ends meet and whatnot,” he said last year at a Trump rally. “But honestly, there’s really no time like the present. Just have kids. You won’t be sorry. It’ll work out.”
