How much snow will Louisville get? Kentucky regions under winter storm warning, NWS says

Louisville and other commonwealth regions are currently facing a winter storm warning through Wednesday morning as a storm system sweeps through Kentucky, bringing snow.

Meteorologist-in-charge for the National Weather Service John Gordon said Monday afternoon that Louisville is expected to receive 2-4 inches of snow through Tuesday afternoon. The heaviest snowfall amounts are likely to fall through 1 p.m.

A flood watch is also in effect for southern Kentucky through Wednesday night. The region will likely see heavy rain rather than snow Tuesday, which could cause minor-to-moderate flooding, the NWS says.
