There were plenty of surprises at the NFL Honors ceremony Thursday night — Josh Allen snagging MVP for one — but it was the significant age-gap between coaching legend Bill Belichick and his girlfriend that became the subject of the wildest joke of the night.

The 14th annual show, which doles out the league’s most prestigious yearly awards, was hosted by Snoop Dogg, who didn’t hold back as he was quick with the quips by referring to a “Super Bowl matchup between the Eagles and the refs,” before taking aim at 72-year-old Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson.

“I’ve been a football fan for a long, long time. I mean, I remember back when the [Dallas] Cowboys was good. I remember back when the [Kansas City] Chiefs was bad,” Snoop Dogg said during the opening monologue. Snoop, 53, then went on to quip, “And I remember when, what was it, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend wasn’t even born yet.”

Hudson and Belichick, the former New England Patriots coach, appeared to take it in stride, although the joke easily caused discomfort among those in attendance, and was quick to fire up social media comments over the duo’s unlikely relationship. Here’s more to know about the couple.

Who is Bill Belichick’s girlfriend?

Jordon Hudson was a cheerleader while attending Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts, roughly a 50-minute drive south of Boston, where she became an NCA Collegiate Champion in 2021. She attended the college from 2019 to 2022, when she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy, according to her LinkedIn.

She later joined the East Celebrity Elite cheer squad, competing in the World Championships in 2024. She spoke about how much cheerleading meant to her in a post on Instagram in February 2024.

Hudson is also a former beauty pageant contestant. She was first runner-up in the 2024 Miss Maine USA pageant and posted a photo of herself at the pageant on March 9, 2024, wearing a sash to represent Hancock, Massachusetts.

Hudson also describes herself as an “eclectic and eccentric entrepreneur” in her Instagram profile. Her LinkedIn page shows she has been the executive director at Trouble Cub Enterprises in Boston since 2021, and previously worked as a social media ambassador and model for Rebel Athletic, a luxury athletic brand.

She was also dually enrolled in cosmetology school while in college, graduating in 2019 from The New England Hair Academy.

Hudson and the six-time Super Bowl-winning coach went red-carpet official on Dec. 5 during the The Museum Gala at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. A few months earlier on Halloween, the couple sparked rumors after they took to Instagram to show off their nautical-themed Halloween costumes in a series of photos. However, the couple has been linked as far back as 2021, when TMZ first reported they first met when they sat next to each other on a flight from Boston to Florida.
