Sherri Shepherd couldn’t help but knock the castle headpiece that Jaden Smith wore to the 2025 Grammy Awards last night.
The actress, 57, called out the eclectic household-shaped helmet that Smith, 26, wore to the event during Monday’s episode of her talk show.
“Will Smith’s son Jaden wore a really nice Louis Vuitton suit and a castle on his head,” Shepherd said, shaking her head as an image of him and his outfit was shown onscreen behind her. “Jaden is walking around the Grammys the whole time with a whole zip code on his head!”

The host then revealed that the ornate headpiece was designed by Transylvanian fashion brand, Abodi. “I didn’t even know they had fashion designers in Transylvania, first of all. I thought they only had vampires, werewolves, and Frankensteins,” she remarked. “I didn’t even know Transylvania was a real place, I swear to [God].”
Still, the look inspired Shepherd so much that she knew she had to try it out for herself and launched into her regular fashion segment, “Wear It Up or Tear It Up.” When its title card ended, Shepherd could be seen sitting in her chair with a similar-looking, frilly black castle placed upon her head.
“Now, let me tell y’all something: Jaden’s castle hat cost $4600,” Shepherd explained as the audience gasped. “But my amazing art director Michael Lee Scott got some construction paper, glitter, and glue and he made the same castle hat for $4.99.”
Shepherd then stood up and asked her audience to reveal if they thought the look was a hit or a miss, spinning across the stage in order to properly showcase the haunted house headpiece in all its glory. “Wear it up?” She asked the crowd as they voiced their approval. “I don’t know, but I telling you: I’m feeling quite homey in here.”
In an Instagram post, Abodi explained that the headpiece was made custom for Smith to wear to the event. They added, “The artistic combines the mysterious elegance of ABODI Transylvania with a bold, modern design inspired by Transylvanian history and the vampire legends of the Bathori.”
Smith wasn’t the only one who Shepherd called out for their fashion faux pas, either. The host also slammed Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) and his wife Bianca Censori for their outfits, especially Censori’s nude dress. “Okay, first of all Bianca, do you know it’s cold and flu season right now?” she asked in a separate clip. “Meanwhile, Kanye’s standing next to her looking like Blade.”
Shepherd then repeated the false claim that Censori and Ye were escorted out of the event for their outfits, which Shepherd’s producer Jawn Murray quickly clarified was not true. However, the host noted that she believed the Grammys “should have asked them to leave” due to their outfits.
“Here’s the problem that I have: yes, it is the Grammys. Yes, it is adults. But people are bringing their kids,” Shepherd pointed out. “Kehlani brought her child with her… Alicia Keys, she brought her kids with her. Beyoncé brought Blue Ivy. You know you gotta cover up.”
