Before season 2 even premiered on Thursday, January 23, the popular spy series was already renewed for season 3. The Night Agent received an early renewal in October, with news that production already began in Istanbul. As creator Shawn Ryan told Netflix at the time, “We’ve been hard at work writing season 3 to deliver more breathless Peter Sutherland Night Action adventures to our rabid audience.”

Yes! The Night Agent is already renewed for season 3. Plot details are under wraps for now, but we know that both Ryan and Sutherland will return. After some time in Istanbul, the series plans to film in New York again later in 2025.
What Will The Night Agent Season 3 Be About?
In the season 2 finale, Peter Sutherland is forced to make a decision that brands him as a traitor to the U.S. government. Our hero is okay, though! He’s simply going undercover as a double agent next season to stop intelligence broker Jacob Monroe. How he explains the whole kerfuffle to his love interest Rose (Luciane Buchanan) is another problem entirely. All that matters is that she’s safe… for now.
Genesis Rodriguez (Lioness) is also set to the join cast for season 3. She knows a thing or two about playing an undercover spy after her stint on Taylor Sheridan‘s CIA drama for Paramount+. There’s no details yet about her character in The Night Agent season 3, but it’s safe to say that she’s not the only newcomer joining Night Action. David Lyons (ER), Jennifer Morrison (Will Trent), and Stephen Moyer (True Blood) are all set to join the spy series as well.

Season 2 just premiered on Netflix, so I’d allow some time to pass before The Night Agent is ready to fight another day. Since filming is already underway, I’d wager that season 3 will return sometime in 2026.
