🚨 Champions Cup: Honors even in first-leg between América & Cruz Azul
The Concacaf Champions Cup quarterfinals kick off this evening with a pair of vintage matchups in Mexico and the United States.
Here is what has gone down so far.
The first-leg of the highly anticipated last-eight showdown between Liga MX rivals Club América and Cruz Azul finished goalless in Mexico City.

It was not for a lack of trying however, as both sides should perhaps have found the opener in the first-half, with Cruz Azul seeing a goal ruled out for offside.
Kevin Mier pulled off a handful of superb saves to keep the scoresheet untouched, and perhaps keeping Cruz Azul in the tie.
But Mexico’s number one, Luis Malagón, responded in kind, making some massive stops of his own.
While the scoreline will show 0-0, it was one of the more breathless goalless draws you’ll see in a cup competition.
The attention will turn the second-leg, where there is everything to play for in this massive showdown between Mexican giants.
