πŸ“Έ Odobert off the mark as Tottenham pull level on aggregate against AZ 😍

Tottenham continue to dream of reaching a European final as have pulled level on aggregate with visiting AZ Alkmaar in the second leg of their Europa League Round of 16 tie.

On a night where star names like Son Heung-min, Dominic Solanke, and James Maddison all featured on Ange Postecoglou’s teamsheet, it was an unlikely source that got Spurs up and running in North London.

French youngster Wilson Odobert slammed home from inside the box in the 27th minute after pressure from Son caused AZ defender Wouter Goes to play his pass off the South Korean.

It then deflected to Solanke who settled before squaring a pass to the 20-year-old to finish past De Kaasboeren goalkeeper Rome Owusu-Oduro.

But it was not any ordinary match opener for the Frenchman, with Odobert now finally off the mark for Spurs not just in Europe, but overall as he sealed his first-ever goal for the club after arriving from Burnley in the summer.

What a way to get your first.
